I would like to buy travel vouchers to give as a gift. They would be for travel originating in the UK – most likely to European destinations.
Ideally they could be redeamed online and could be spent on both air Travel and hotels.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.
I want to get the vouchers from a UK based company or website.

You can buy airline vouchers directly from the airline – most offer them on their website. Virgin Atlantic offers "Virgin Vouchers" in denominations of £5, £10, £20 and £50. They’re sent out in a stylish wallet along with a list of all the places where they can be used.

Here’s the website w/ more info and where the vouchers can be used: http://www.thevirginvoucher.co.uk/info/where-can-i-spend-my-vouchers,28,AR.html

I am trying to come up with a list of Technologies that are likely to become widespread 10-20 years from now and essentially replace whatever we use now. The ultimate goal is to invest a certain amount of money into corresponding companies and forget for a decade or so.

So far, I got geothermal and tidal/wave power, genetically engineered crops, therapeutic stem cells and RNA interference, smart traffic controls, biodegradation, wireless electric grids. What else?..

I think General Electric (GE) will probable own or out do most of those companies so I would go with a conglomerate. !0-20 years they’ll buy all the successful power companies, maybe tidal/wave power, wireless electric grids. They are still involved in new electric technology and aircraft engines. Lots of companies still have other names, but are owned by a conglomerate such as GE.

If a terrorist group decided to target America’s Sports, what would be the result?

How would this affect our society and the future of sporting events?

That would be the dumbest thing they could ever do. Not only would it piss off the American people in general, think about the odds makers in Las Vegas! I’m mean it’s one thing to have Homeland Security and the US military after you, but the Mafia too? No, no, no. Not a good idea!

I would like to be a pharmacist and I am willing to do anything to be a pharmacist but I was just wondering what are the hours for a retail and hospital pharmacist? Are their hours flexible? Do they get vacation time? I want an answer from a student pharmacist or an experience pharmacist that works or worked in any or both of these settings. Thank you in advance.

It depends on the position you apply for. Some pharmacists, like my party-boy friends, only want to work 3 days a week. That is all they need in order to support their lifestyles, so they are content. Other friends work full time because they are planning families. Right after graduating, many pharmacy students become floaters, which means they don’t have a specific pharmacy to work in, but rather do certain days in certain pharmacies. Some decide to do fellowships and clinical work which can be immensely time consuming, yet rewarding on a professional level. Others go on to specialize and earn MBA’s (for executive positions in pharmacy corporations), JD’s (to be lawyers for pharmaceutical organizations/the government) or further branch out into fields like nuclear pharmacy (compound and inject radioactive pharmacological therapy twice a week/make 500g a year). The opportunities are endless. When I am licensed (in one year) I will most likely do full-time Retail work.

I would like to take up photography, lately I have taken an interest in it. I was wondering what camera I should I buy. I found cameras but they are all expensive and I don’t have the most money. And I want my first camera to be a stepping stone where i will later replace with a better one.

So I was wondering what a good beginning (and cheaper) camera for Photography is?
So you are saying I should just buy any digital camera as a beginner.
I’m not looking for film camera plus I have one of those.

I have said this allot. It is not the camera that makes the picture it is the photographer. For someone just getting interested in Photography you should buy a simple but good camera. One that has a good zoom. Not digital zoom. Never use digital zoom. Only optical zoom. Try to find one that can do manual settings. That way as you advance you can control the completed picture. I like Sony And Olympic cameras. I have a Olympic camera I payed $150 dollars on Ebay. I have some pictures people have bought from it and on the internet. I also have the expensive Canon DSLR CAmera. I use both depends what I am doing. Get one you can afford and learn to take good picture and down the road you get great and want to get a better camera then you can. A good photographer can take any camera and take good pictures and the quality can be adjusted on the computer. But bad pictures are bad pictures.
Learn how to shoot good picture using the rules of photography and composition and then get the expensive camera.

This semester in my Environmental class i am required to investigate and present two CURRENT articles on two DIFFERENT subjects, events or developments PERTAINING to Environmental Science. However, i have no idea what to talk about, because honestly i am not really into environmental stuff. So i am asking that if someone knows good topics for this project i am doing, please let me know. I would really appreciated it. Thank you

Also what are good sites for my sources. My sources must be reputable scientific journals, newspapers, magazines, or associated websites.

Pollution is always a good topic
You can talk about the oil spill, how much garbage we waste every year, what smoking and car emission do to our air, and what we can do to fix it.

Global Warming
Endangered Species
Energy Conservation
Biodiversity
Natural Hazards (earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanoes)
Water pollution/resources (ocean)
Vegetation
Climate change
Environmental Policy (what the government should do to protect the environment)

These are just a FEW… there’s a lot you can talk about relating to today.

I like my steaks med/med-rare but either get them too done or still cold and raw. I need the approximate cooking times for the different levels of done for steaks 1/2 to 1 1/4 inch. I’m Cooking in 30 minutes, help!

First if your steak is cold that’s a problem – Always let your steak come to room temperature before going on the grill

Second – Big variance between 1/2 inch and 1 1/4 inch thickness

Third – Test your steak for firmness to determine how done it is

Press on steak

Rare – feels like pressing on your cheek
Med Rare – feels like pressing on tip of your nose
Well – feels like pressing on your forehead

Whith newer Computer Hardware and premade PC’s coming out every so often these days can ubuntu linux work. or do you need spasifik computer or hardware to run it. TY

Ubuntu can be run on virtually all computers still in service. However, the system will need to meet Ubuntu’s system requirements, which are pretty low. Not all hardware works with Linux, but most does. It is not limited to any specific type or model of computer.
